As the premier spot for golf among Central Florida resorts, the Plantation on Crystal River is a challenging course originally designed by famous course architect Mark Mahannah in 1958. He created a rewarding course in the traditional “Florida” style with variety of water on 16 holes and 53 bunkers, along with challenging fairways lined by mature emerald pine and oak trees native to the region.
The golf course also features fourteen different bird species including bald eagles. Plantation Golf Club also takes pride in accordance with the PGA’s new guidance of reducing timeliness of rounds to under four hours. Typical rounds at Plantation average three- and one-half hours.
