Mare Island Golf Club is a historic par-70 golf course located in Vallejo, California.  It opened for play in 1892, making it the oldest course west of the Mississippi. The 18 hole course features two distinct layouts. The front 9 is a more traditional course design, with small greens and tight, tree-lined fairways. The back 9, redesigned by Robin Nelson in 1999, is links-style, featuring rolling hills, undulating fairways, and beautiful greens.

Since Mare Island is completely surrounded by water, you’re sure to take in many gorgeous, seaside vistas. The majority of holes offer a magnificent view of San Pablo Bay, the Napa River, Mt. Tamalpais and on a clear day the Golden Gate Bridge. No other Bay Area course has more panoramic vistas. Enjoy one of the most enjoyable courses in the Bay at a great price!
