Sequoyah National Golf Club is located 45 minutes west of Asheville, North Carolina in Cherokee nestled among the oak, fir and flowered valleys in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains. Owned by the Eastern Band of the Cherokee, this Robert Trent Jones II design is open to the public and offers golfers an idyllic 18 hole journey, filled with panoramic vistas on every hole, beautiful landscapes and a fun mountain golf experience.
This par 72 championship course, measuring 6,600 yards features immaculately groomed bent grass greens with zoysia fairways, offering spectacular views of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, while providing ultimate playing conditions year round including an expansive practice area including a driving range, putting greens, chipping area and Callaway Golf Club fitting by certified PGA Golf Professionals.
The course completed a complete bunker renovation and regrassing project with the direction of Robert Trent Jones II Design in the summer of 2020. The club installed capillary concrete bunkers throughout and converted the current fairways, tees and green surrounds to Zeon Zoysia to provide the best playing conditions possible year-round on the award-winning Robert Trent Jones II layout.
