“There is something different about these courses, something that makes you want to play them over and over… maybe it is the aura, maybe it is the smell, maybe it is the design and how it allows playability and challenge at every level of the game…”
– Johnny Miller (Member World Golf Hall of Fame and Silverado Owner)
Silverado’s North and South championship layouts are the premier courses of the Napa Valley. Redesigned by Johnny Miller and managed by Troon Golf, each one presents rolling elevations, tightly manicured greens, and routing through century-old oak groves.
Silverado has hosted numerous PGA TOUR events, including The Kaiser International Open (1968-1976); The Anheuser-Busch Golf Classic (1977-1980); and The Champions Tour Transamerica (1989-2002). These events have featured legends such as Jack Nicklaus, Tom Watson, Arnold Palmer, Lee Trevino, and Silverado’s own Johnny Miller.
As a testimony to the enduring quality of the facilities, the PGA TOUR will play Silverado’s North Course for the next 5 years with the Safeway Open. Today’s greatest players will come to test their skills on a course that continues its legacy by welcoming the legends of the game.
